Enrollment Form

Free Bible Correspondence Courses:

As a part of our ministry at the jail we offer Bible courses by mail. We do not charge anything for the courses. We provide all the books and materials for the inmates, but people on the outside will need to purchase a Bible. You will need a Bible for any and all of the courses.

We need people to help us reply to all the inmates who complete lessons. If you are an adult Christian and have been a Christian for a substantial time, you are qualified. If you are interested in helping please contact us.

As of August, 2009, sixteen of these courses are available for enrollment. The others are in various stages of development. You can tell which are still incomplete because they have the word "Planned " in brackets next to the title.

We offer five series of courses. A student may enroll in more than one series, but not more than one course in the same series.

Basic Christianity Series
(Available in Spanish. No prerequisite.)
BC1 - Basic Christianity - [8 lessons] This course is about Christianity in its simplest form. The lessons are about Salvation, The Savior, Speaking with God (about prayer), Society (about Christian fellowship), Service, Scriptures, Sin, and Showing Others (about witnessing). The titles all start with 'S.' Aren't I clever? If you are incarcerated, we will also send you a free Bible when you enroll in this course.
BC2 - The Words of Jesus [16 Lessons] Studies passages from all four Gospels in chronological order focusing on what Jesus actually said.
BC3 - Prayers & Promises [10 lessons] This course looks at example prayers in the Bible and teaches the student how to "pray the promises" of the Scriptures.

You must complete one other course before beginning this one. It is expensive to print and mail this course, so we reserve it for students who have demonstrated their commitment to Bible study. If you are not incarcerated, you must purchase the associated text. It is only available from us or from Family Christian Academy bookstores. If you include a check for $56.95 (the cost of the book + shipping) when you enroll, we will mail the book to you.

Process: All courses assume you have a copy of the Bible. To start with, one lesson will be mailed to the student. When the quiz is returned, a volunteer teacher will comment on it and, then the next lesson will be mailed to the student together with the teacher's comment. When the final quiz from the last lesson is recieved, a certificate of completion is mailed to the student. We do not support these correspondence courses by e-mail.
